Do we set cookies on public pages?
No. Public recap pages do not set a first-party HTTP cookie. You can read the site with cookies blocked.
What we do store in your browser
dr_vid— local storage on drama pages only. A random token so we do not count the same browser twice in a day when ranking recaps. It is hashed before we store anything. It is not an advertising identifier.dr_ad_consent— local storage, only if the advertising notice bar is switched on. Records that you dismissed the bar. Nothing is sent to us.
Clearing site data for this domain removes both.
Operator cookie (not for visitors)
The private dashboard may set dr_admin_session (HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, 12 hours, Secure on HTTPS). Public visitors never receive it.
Advertising
If an operator turns on third-party ads, those networks may set their own cookies under their own policies. Our notice bar (when enabled) is information, not a certified consent-management platform. Where your law requires consent for ad cookies, use the ad provider's own tool.
English-speaking markets
We write for a US-English audience. US state privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA) require disclosure, not a blocking cookie banner, for the hashed ranking data we keep, and we do not sell personal information.
If you visit from the UK or EEA: we do not set non-essential first-party cookies on public pages, so we do not show a cookie wall. Local storage used to de-duplicate recap views is described in the Privacy Policy (legitimate interest). If we later add non-essential cookies or EU-targeted ads, we will add a consent control before they run.
