A Breath Away From Forever

Episode 1

Callista Summers finally hears her dream announced: the gold award at the World Fashion Design Competition goes to Sweet. Years of work have paid off — but her friend Su Yiyi quietly decides the honor should belong to her instead. Meanwhile, Jeremiah's mother learns the woman who saved her son five years ago is Callista, and Jeremiah now urgently needs a kidney. His mother calls with a promise: if Callista saves him, she can marry into the Fuller family. Callista agrees and heads back to Haicheng — leaving Su Yiyi to collect the award in her place.

Episode 2

Callista's mind is on the past: five years ago she shielded Jeremiah and he swore to take responsibility for her. Back then she was only a housekeeper and felt she didn't deserve him, so she left to build a career, promising to return once she was worthy. Now she's a gold-medal designer — and she's also raised their son, Scotty. Scotty reminds her she promised to take him back to find his father after she won her award. She says yes, but first she must save his father; once Jeremiah recovers, they'll reunite as a family. She tells her friend she'll wait for her in Haicheng.

Episode 3

The Queen — the woman Su Yiyi calls her closest connection — learns Callista has gone to Haicheng to save Jeremiah Fuller of the Fuller Group, the very man who once wanted to work with her. Rather than be angry, she decides to send the Fuller Group a massive cooperation deal as a wedding gift, warning that if Jeremiah treats Callista badly, the Fuller Group will vanish from Haicheng. She and her circle fly to Haicheng to surprise Callista. There, the reunion turns ugly: Jeremiah's mother accuses Callista of signing a donation agreement, taking fifty million, and forcing the marriage.

Episode 4

Callista insists the agreement isn't hers — the handwriting doesn't match — and that she never forced a marriage or took fifty million. She says his mother arranged the marriage certificate after the kidney donation, promising Jeremiah would marry her if she donated. Jeremiah's mother spins a different story: that Callista called offering her kidney, then took the money and leaked to the media that Jeremiah had promised marriage. Su Yiyi backs the mother's version, and Jeremiah turns on Callista. The audience sees the truth: Su Yiyi prepared the donation agreement, took credit for the kidney, and smeared Callista — and Jeremiah believes it.

Episode 5

Callista still clings to hope, thinking of Scotty waiting for her so the family can reunite. Jeremiah coldly asks why she schemed to marry him. She reminds him of five years ago at the Xiyue KTV, when someone drugged him and she saved him — he promised to marry her then. He says he keeps his word, but demands proof. His mother cuts in: the woman who saved him wasn't Callista, it was Yiyi. Su Yiyi arrives, claiming she and Jeremiah grew up together, and accuses Callista of impersonating her. Callista protests that the night and the rescue story were hers to tell.

Episode 6

The fight centers on a jade pendant — Jeremiah's family heirloom. Callista says Jeremiah gave it to her five years ago and she has worn it for five years. Su Yiyi claims Callista stole it, twisting the old secret Callista once shared with her as a friend. Jeremiah's mother declares Callista unfit to be his wife. Callista insists she is the woman from five years ago and that she went abroad to study design because she felt unworthy of him, returning only now as an award-winning designer. Then news arrives: the Queen has invited them to a fashion gala and offered a huge deal — for Sweet's sake.

Episode 7

The Fuller family celebrates Su Yiyi, believing she is the famous Sweet who saved Jeremiah and brought the hundred-million project. Callista insists she is the real Sweet, but Su Yiyi points out she has no proof — the award was collected by Su Yiyi, her design sketches are gone, and the people who know her identity are abroad. Su Yiyi produces video and a trophy; Callista has nothing. Jeremiah's mother orders Callista thrown out and sent to the police for fraud. Jeremiah accuses Callista of arranging the award theft, the fifty million, and the forced marriage. Callista begs him to check her bank account.

Episode 8

Su Yiyi corners Callista and demands she sign divorce papers, gloating that no one believes her and that she intends to take Callista's name, honor, and everything she has. Callista refuses, vowing to put the evidence before Jeremiah and expose her. Su Yiyi threatens her, then sets a cruel plan in motion: men are hired to assault Callista and photograph her, so the scandal will destroy her as the Fuller Group president's new wife. Meanwhile, the Queen's ten VIP invitations arrive, and Jeremiah orders a check of Callista's account and a car to go find her.

Episode 9

Su Yiyi's hired men move in on Callista, promising to take plenty of photos. Callista warns them she is Jeremiah Fuller's wife and that he will make them pay, but they sneer that Jeremiah doesn't care and wants a divorce. Jeremiah's mother learns Callista has vanished from the hospital and is at the KTV, and tells Su Yiyi to bring the prepared photos there. Jeremiah rushes to the scene. Su Yiyi immediately twists it: she claims Callista, exposed as a liar, hired men to assault her — so that once she is ruined, Jeremiah will cast her aside and return to Callista.

Episode 10

Callista fights back with the truth: Su Yiyi brought her to the KTV after she refused to sign divorce papers, and staged the assault to frame her. One of the hired men cracks under Jeremiah's threat and admits Su Yiyi paid him to assault and film her for the media. But Jeremiah's mother counters with a new smear — that Callista left the family years ago because she was involved with the Xiao family's outcast son, Xiao Jin, and bore his child. Jeremiah turns on Callista again, calling her shameless. Callista insists Scotty is his son and begs him not to believe the lies.
