A Gift of Love, A Lifetime Together

Episode 1

Faye Locke's night turns frantic when her child spikes a high fever. She calls her husband, Locke, begging him to meet her at the hospital — but he snaps that he isn't a doctor, blames her for being a bad mother, and tells her to handle it alone.

She rushes out and climbs into a car she assumes is her ride-hailing pickup. The man behind the wheel, Shane Hart, coldly assumes she's faking an excuse to get close to him and orders her out. Meanwhile, the search for the person who donated a kidney to Shane years ago is still underway, and his assistant promises an answer within three days.

Episode 2

Faye reaches Locke again, this time desperate for the child's medical fee. He refuses outright, insisting he has no money, then turns cruel — questioning the child's parentage and dismissing her pleas.

Faye stands her ground and demands a divorce. Locke won't hear it, boasting about everything he's given her. The hypocrisy stings: she asks for a thousand for their child's treatment while he casually spends over five hundred thousand on a designer bag for his mistress, Jiang. At the hospital, staff warn that unpaid bills can't be ignored forever. Faye promises to have the money within three days.

Episode 3

Faye scrambles to cover the remaining medical costs, counting every last bit she can scrape together. But work pulls her back into the line of fire — a client in a private room is being neglected, and she's blamed for it.

Then Shane Hart appears again. The moment he recognizes her, suspicion flares: last time she played pitiful, now she seems to be posing as something she isn't to get near him. He keeps her and sends everyone else out. Faye is stunned — and the encounter costs her the job.

Episode 4

Faye is dragged out for offending Shane Hart, even as she protests that she doesn't know him at all. She begs the manager to let her stay, insisting she desperately needs the work — but she's thrown out anyway. Taking medicine deliveries is now her only way to scrape together that thousand.

Meanwhile, Locke showers Jiang with promises of a luxury necklace worth sixty thousand. Jiang needles him about why he won't divorce his wife. His answer is chilling: Faye is simply "free and useful." Later, Faye pours a drink over him — and he calls her a shrew.

Episode 5

The fight boils over. Faye throws Locke's cruelty back at him: a thousand a month for her, yet he spends freely on bags and jewelry for another woman. She reminds him that without her, he'd have nothing.

The truth surfaces — years ago, Locke needed her to donate a kidney to save his career, and she agreed, believing one kidney wouldn't change her life. Now he mocks her sacrifice as her own choice. Then Shane's path crosses hers again. He accuses her of scheming — first playing pitiful, now posing as a delivery worker. Faye fires back that he's arrogant and self-absorbed, then rushes off as her order runs late.

Episode 6

Shane's assistant tails Faye as she heads to deliver an order — straight into a high-end class reunion. The moment her former classmates recognize her in a delivery uniform, the mockery begins.

They dredge up old rumors, sneering at the former top student and scholarship star who supposedly dumped a poor boyfriend to marry Locke. Jiang, the hostess, savors the humiliation, noting how far Faye has fallen. When Faye tries to leave with the delivery, Jiang stops her cold with a revelation: she and Locke have been sleeping together for three years.

Episode 7

Jiang twists the knife, framing the affair as fair revenge — Faye took her boyfriend, so she took Faye's husband. She flaunts the jewelry and bags worth over a hundred thousand, all bought by Locke, and mocks Faye for living on a thousand a month, unable to leave.

Faye absorbs it, asks if Jiang is finished, and turns to go back to work. But the classmates won't let her. They call her a delivery worker putting on airs, debate giving her a bad review, and then Jiang sets a cruel "gift" before her — food meant to test just how much humiliation Faye will swallow.

Episode 8

The "gift" is a trap. Faye admits she's allergic to seafood, but the fear of losing this job — and what it means for her daughter — keeps her frozen. The classmates circle, comparing her to a dog for enduring it.

Jiang pushes further, demanding Faye drink and slapping her as a "garnish," crowning the humiliation "a pearl in the palm." They taunt her to see how much she can take. Faye finally breaks and fights back, shouting at them — the room erupts, and someone rushes off to see what the commotion is about.

Episode 9

The chaos draws a powerful guest: Shane Hart's assistant, a man whose reach over the city's overseas business makes the room snap to attention. The classmates instantly change their tune, spinning the story so Faye looks like the one who lost control.

But the assistant has come specifically to check on Faye — a detail that doesn't escape the crowd. He warns them that Shane Hart is resting upstairs, and disturbing him carries consequences no one wants to test. As he leaves, whispers spread: why would Shane's right-hand man single out Faye?

Episode 10

The speculation turns vicious. The classmates insist Faye must be scheming to climb into Shane's bed, since even without knowing her, she's earned special treatment from his closest aide.

Jiang corners Faye, consumed by old jealousy — blaming her for every humiliation she's suffered, for the teachers who looked down on her, for the man she lost. Faye insists she never knew Jiang's boyfriend and never tried to take anything from her. Then, quietly, the truth lands: Shane's people have finally found the woman who donated a kidney to him years ago. It's Faye.

If you love a slow-burn revenge where the underdog finally gets her moment, this one's worth hitting play on tonight.
