Episode 1

The wedding hall is ready, but the groom is missing. Cora Irwin has waited five years for Gavin Royce, and even on their wedding day, she's the one standing alone while guests whisper. Gavin finally arrives late — not from work, but with Leila Black, his first love, who says she just had surgery and needs his care.

Meanwhile, Gavin tells his assistant to prepare a fresh proposal, certain he won't lose Cora this time. A mango cake arrives for her birthday — the very thing she's allergic to.

Episode 4

Gavin notices Cora has no appetite and assumes she's still angry. He promises to redo the wedding next week, asks about her birthday wish, and says he has time to spend with her. Cora hands him paperwork to sign — the villa's ownership transfer. He signs without reading, and she pointedly asks if he isn't afraid it's the divorce agreement.

Gavin then sets the wedding for October 1st. But the moment Leila calls, claiming she needs her stomach pumped and begging him to come, he leaves Cora on her birthday. Cora reminds him coldly: he forgot she is allergic to mango.

Episode 5

Leila's call pulls Gavin away for ten days, and Cora is glad for the quiet — twenty days left, and they'll be done. Leila invites Cora out to an amusement park, and Cora agrees. Inside the haunted house, Leila mentions an old senior who once took her there, and Gavin's jealousy flares. He warns Leila to come to him instead of "those kinds of people."

Episode 7

Gavin notices Cora seems different lately, but he's distracted. The wedding dress and a diamond ring worth over ten million are delivered to her — gifts she quietly arranges to mail away, saying some things come too late to matter. When Leila calls about her stomach trouble, Gavin rushes off again.

Before leaving, he tells Cora they're husband and wife, and she should tell him if anything's wrong. Cora's answer is flat: take care of Leila, and don't be late to the wedding tomorrow. Alone, she notes that if Gavin knew his bride tomorrow would be Leila, he'd probably thank her.

Episode 8

The wedding is held at a grand church, with important guests from across the province — proof of how seriously Gavin's family treats this marriage. Leila believes she's finally marrying Gavin and asks him to hold her hand forever.

But Cora has already gone. She leaves a final message: from now on, they're even, and they'll never meet again. In the ceremony, Gavin says "I do," and Leila says "I do." The officiant declares them married, and when Gavin lifts the veil, the bride is not Cora. The episode ends on the reveal — and his shock.
