Episode 1

Breaking news: a gang war has erupted downtown, leaving multiple casualties, and police are urging citizens to avoid the area. In the emergency room, Tessa moves from patient to patient until a badly bleeding man is rushed in. She applies pressure and works to stop the blood loss, treating him like anyone else. Episode 8

Tessa waits at the hilltop hotel for her engagement party, but Peter is nowhere. Angie watches her standing there alone and asks if Peter forgot. Peter, meanwhile, is being pulled toward a business reception by another woman—a career-making opportunity with every business titan in town. He insists Tessa is the only one he cares about, but the choice is laid out for him. Back at the hotel, Tessa keeps insisting he's just running late.
