Beg for My Return After Kicking Me Out
The U.S. nuclear medical professor, Charlie Clare, quits his career for his family, but is abandoned as his wife and daughter favor his love rival Isaac. After suffering his family's ignorance, he decides to leave for the Unicorn Project, which he designed to heal his daughter's neuro-skeletal birthmark as his life's work.
Story Recap
Episode 1
Charlie Clare gave up a career in nuclear medical research to take care of his family, but the thanks he gets is a daughter who says she wishes Isaac could be her dad. Isaac is the man everyone fawns over, and Charlie is the one left standing outside the circle.
When he nearly gets hit by a car to bring home a cake, it's treated like trash. "I have given so much to you all," he says, "but you just want to be someone else's wife, someone else's daughter." So he calls Benjamin and agrees to join a classified project that means cutting off all ties with Kristen and Annabelle. Three days, and he's gone.

Episode 2
It's Thanksgiving, and Isaac is the guest of honor at Charlie's own table. Kristen and Annabelle picked out a gift for him; Charlie gets handed one of the freebie bags instead. "It's fine," he says. "Fits me well."
The real sting comes when Kristen asks him to transfer his paycheck because the bills are due — the only reason she called him over, he points out. He's spent over ten years caring for this family and asks for a little time of his own. Annabelle's warning lands hard: if he walks out now, he's not like her dad anymore. He walks out anyway.

Episode 3
Charlie comes home after a whole night away, and the reception is ice. Kristen snaps that he reeks of alcohol and demands breakfast — Annabelle is hungry, so go cook. He fires back, telling her to ask Isaac to do it, since she prefers him anyway.
"How dare you talk like that?" she says. "You've changed, Charlie."
Then the mood flips. Suddenly he's the master chef, the one who always knows exactly what they need, and they want him to stay forever. He promises he'll always be there for his princess and his queen. Kristen just asks again, seriously, who's changed?

Episode 4
Isaac is moving in — into Charlie and Kristen's room. Kristen explains she'll bunk with Annabelle so Isaac can have the space, and Charlie can take the storage room. The storage room is disgusting: cobwebs, dust, junk, not even a bed.
Isaac offers to take it instead, playing the gracious guest. But Kristen won't hear of it — Isaac has a show tomorrow and needs to sleep well. Annabelle chimes in that it's fine, it's just one night. Charlie agrees and goes. Nobody argues for him.
Episode 5
Annabelle promises her dad he can come back as soon as Isaac leaves tomorrow. He tells her it won't be necessary.
Then the scene shifts: Kristen and Annabelle are delighted to have their own home, the best in the world. When Annabelle settles onto the clean sheets, Kristen scolds her to get off — Isaac needs them. "Whatever you say," Annabelle answers.
Charlie hands over a card. "Here, $5 million." The number hangs in the air with no explanation yet.
Episode 6
Charlie explains the money: $5 million in research compensation, left for his daughter. Annabelle tells him he looks terrible. There's a flash of how things used to be — happy, the three of them, back when Charlie promised Kristen they'd always be this happy.
"Chris, Anna, you'll be happy together," he says. "Just not with me."
He's already packed. The classified project is waiting, and everyone he loves is about to be left behind — by his own choice this time, not theirs.
Episode 7
It's Charlie's birthday, and someone actually seems to remember — until the day turns out to be Isaac's birthday party instead. Kristen hosts it at the house, with guests bringing Annabelle.
The guests push Kristen and Isaac together, teasing about old sparks and a rekindled fire. They joke about the Romeo and Juliet duet and want to see that stage chemistry up close. Charlie watches his wife get toasted with another man, then says he has stuff to do and heads for the door. "Wait, where are you going?"
Episode 8
Kristen and the others mock Charlie for storming out like a child having a tantrum. Isaac says it's his fault and begs them not to fight over him.
Then comes the test: they hand Charlie a drink and push him to down it, even though everyone knows he's allergic. "It's not going to kill you," they insist. "Just drink it already."
When he hesitates, Annabelle is the one who asks him to do it for her. He agrees — just this once. The scene is set for something to go very wrong.
Episode 9
The party rolls on, and the guests won't let the mood die. They bring up Isaac and Kristen's old Romeo and Juliet duet and push for an encore, calling for the kiss again and wanting to see that stage chemistry up close. Kristen is told not to be shy, that she was on fire during the performance.
Charlie, meanwhile, is visibly off. Annabelle tells him he's being so weird tonight. The drink is still in play, the allergy still ignored, and nobody at the table seems to notice what's happening to him.
Episode 10
The realization hits late: Charlie really is allergic, and he hasn't simply grown out of it. Panic sets in — where did he go?
Annabelle finds his card. It has $5 million on it. "He's gone."
She's holding the family portrait she took as his birthday gift. It's his birthday today, and the promise he made — that he would never leave them — is broken. The questions pile up with no answers: when did he go, and where? Watch to see what his family does now that he's truly gone.
