Episode 1

Daphne thought she and Julian had a future — four years together, and he was the sole heir to the Wilson Pharmaceutical Group. Then he entered a dangerous car race to pay for her younger brother Allen's heart surgery. Julian's mother, Mrs. Wilson, made her position clear: her son might never race again, and Daphne needed to stay out of his life. In that moment, Daphne understood they could never be together.

Three years later, Daphne is desperate. Allen is sick, and the drug he needs isn't easy to get. Colin, her suitor, insists his uncle can help — his uncle is the CEO of Wilson Group. Then Daphne sees him. It's Julian.

Episode 2

Colin introduces Daphne as his girlfriend, and the air goes cold. Julian says it's been a while; Daphne claims they don't really know each other. Colin explains the request: a family member is sick and needs the X-special medicine.

Julian's answer is business. The drug isn't officially on the market, so an early supply is hard to get — but what is she willing to offer in exchange? He wants $300,000 upfront. When Daphne can't pay on the spot, he turns cruel, reminding her that her left hand is useless now, that she can't even race anymore. What else could she possibly give him? Daphne promises to get the money. Julian doesn't wait.

Episode 3

Julian keeps the power firmly in his hands. Around him, the talk turns to money and favors — if you're paying for everything, he expects the person asking to have something to give in return. So what does Daphne want? Simple: the medicine.

He toys with her instead, then says that since she has nothing to negotiate with, the deal is off. Daphne begs — she needs that medicine. Julian tells her they have all the time in the world. Colin is left apologizing for his uncle's behavior, and Daphne is out of options. Then a message arrives: if she wants the medicine, come alone to the black SUV parked in front of the building.

Episode 4

The meeting leaves Daphne shaken. Julian offers to get her home, but she says she needs time to think and goes off alone. Julian can't let it go. He tells her she left him all those years ago when he was at his lowest point in life.

If that incident three years ago hadn't happened, and she hadn't left him, they would still be together now. He looks at her and asks the question that has clearly been eating at him: if he gives her what she wants, will she give him the medicine? Then he demands the truth — when she left him, was it for the money?

Episode 5

The truth comes out in pieces. Mrs. Wilson had laid it all out: she knew Allen was in the hospital waiting on $300,000, and she could save him — on one condition. Daphne had to leave her son alone. When Daphne refused, Mrs. Wilson told her she had done enough to ruin Julian's life, ordered her to take the money and get out, and warned her not to say a word to Julian, or she would use the Wilson family power to cut off all medical resources for Allen.

So Daphne told Julian the lie. Yes, she left him for $300,000. She left because he couldn't give her the money or the life she wanted. Julian is left wondering what he'd hoped to hear — that she lied, that it was all a misunderstanding. He offers her the medicine if she'll speak with him, but she throws it back at him: she isn't some prostitute he can hire.

Episode 6

Colin promises to talk to Julian tomorrow, but Daphne won't wait. Julian is never going to give her the medicine, so she decides to go to the black market herself. Colin warns her the place is full of killers and gangsters, far too dangerous to deal with, but Daphne says she doesn't care how dangerous it is — she has to try.

Colin swears he'll help her get the medicine for Allen no matter what, and Daphne says that once her brother gets better, they can talk about being together. Elsewhere, someone scoffs at the idea of a woman risking her life at the black market for her brother. Daphne goes anyway. She brings the money. The medicine is nowhere, and someone has tricked her.

Episode 7

Julian's people pick up the trail: someone claims to be selling the X-special medicine on the black market, and when they trace the deals, a familiar name keeps coming up — Daphne. Julian can't believe she'd go to a place like that. He orders the car ready.

At the black market, Daphne demands her medicine and her money back. The men laugh at her. They tell her to get out before they send her home in little pieces. She calls them what they are, but she's outnumbered, and the threats turn physical. One of them says he's definitely not letting her go this time, and the others start talking about what they'll do with her tonight.

Episode 8

Julian arrives before it's too late. He gets their hands off her and tells them there's been a mix-up; someone recognizes him as a Wilson, and the criminals back off. Outside, Julian turns on Daphne — those guys are criminals, and she thought she could just strike a deal with them? She fires back that she had no choice. She had to get that medicine.

Julian reminds her that he is her only option; she can only get the drug through him. He tells her she'll come back begging. At home, things get worse — Allen doubles over in pain, and someone shouts for a doctor.

Episode 9

At the hospital, the news is bad. The doctor says Allen's condition has worsened, and the only option is the X-special miracle drug. They have to get him to the top of the waiting list — he has very little time. Daphne is terrified he could die at any moment.

Colin says he has people looking into it and will tell her the moment there's any news, but Daphne can't just wait. She makes up her mind and goes to Julian. When she walks in, she tells him plainly that she's here to make a deal with him.

Episode 10

Julian assumes she's finally come to her senses. As long as she doesn't make too much of a fuss, he'll give her the medicine. But Daphne has another card to play — and it's a threat. She claims to have evidence of tax evasion and extramarital affairs within the Wilson Group. If it goes public, the shareholders will panic and the stock price will plummet.

Julian asks if she's threatening him. Daphne says she only needs a few boxes of the medicine, and he gets to save face. She came prepared for the worst, so deleting anything won't help — she has copies. Julian tells her no one threatens him, not even her. Then he names his price: give herself to him, or give up the rest. Before Daphne can answer, word comes that Colin is on his way up. She panics — she can't let him see her here — and begs Julian not to let him in.
