Episode 1

Three days before the wedding, Avery's best friend Lana drops a bomb at the pre-wedding party: she's pregnant, and Sean is the father. The room goes silent. Sean sighs it off as a drunken mistake and insists the wedding is still on — they'll just co-parent.

Avery stares at Lana, who strokes her belly with a victorious smile. Instead of crumbling, Avery pulls off her engagement ring and drops it into Sean's champagne. She's canceling the wedding. Then her phone rings. It's Cole Sinclair — the city's richest man and her old high school classmate — asking her to marry him instead.

Episode 2

Avery hesitates, telling Cole they're just friends. He pushes back gently: he wants more, and he promises to give her everything she deserves. Before she can answer, Sean starts texting — pleading with her not to throw away eight years, then casually ordering her to pick up his custom wedding suit.

The cold night air hits, and Avery finally cries. She remembers how Sean once saved her when she was penniless and starving, how he held her through trauma, how he said he didn't want children after her miscarriage. Was it all just pity for an orphan? She laughs bitterly at his text. Then she calls Cole and accepts.

Avery returns to her apartment to pack and freezes in the doorway. Lana is wrapped in Avery's favorite silk robe while a shirtless Sean blow-dries her hair, both of them laughing. Lana plays innocent, claiming it's just morning sickness and friendship.

Sean doesn't even flinch. He tosses a towel at Avery and tells her to go make Lana some warm soup. When Avery snaps that she won't help with his "bastard," he grabs her arm and shoves her onto the sofa, accusing her of throwing tantrums before the wedding. Avery fires back — he slept with her best friend and ruined everything, and now he calls her reaction a tantrum.

Sean keeps insisting it was a one-time mistake, as if that should fix it. Avery tells him flat out: the wedding is canceled, and she's leaving him for good. Then a woman storms in, scolding Avery for causing drama two days before the wedding.

She sneers that Avery is a nobody with no family — without Sean, no one will ever want her. She warns Avery to learn some manners before crawling back. Instead, Avery gets thrown out of her own apartment in the pouring rain. Soaking wet, she calls Cole and asks for one thing: their wedding at the exact same time as her original one. He promises to make it happen.

A social media post appears — Lana posing with Sean in front of a luxury car, kissing him. They're living in Avery's apartment and driving a car under her lease. Avery doesn't cry this time. She blocks every card and cancels the lease.

Sean's furious calls roll in: his credit cards are declined, the dealership is repossessing the car. Lana urges him to let Avery throw her tantrum, smug that she'll crawl back like always. But then Lana taunts that the night they hooked up, Sean wasn't even drunk. He knew exactly what he was doing. With one day left before the wedding, the truth lands: in eight years, he never loved her.

Sean calls in a panic — movers are packing up the apartment and throwing him and Lana out. Avery calmly informs him it's not his apartment anymore; she sold it that morning. He mocks her, calling it a childish game, until she mentions she's marrying someone else: Cole Sinclair.

Sean laughs, certain she hired an actor to make him jealous. "Who's next, the president?" Avery hangs up and gets back to wedding prep. Then a strong hand lifts her phone — Cole answers Sean and warns him not to call his wife again. Sean scoffs, calling him the hired actor, and vows to show up at the wedding and make Avery crawl back.

Episode 7

Sean and Lana crash the wedding. He demands Avery unblock his cards and stop the "ridiculous drama," even offering to consider taking her back. Guests whisper. Avery tells them she invited neither of them and orders them out.

Then Lana stumbles backward and falls, screaming that Avery pushed her and tried to kill the baby. Sean rips off Avery's veil and slaps her hard, demanding she apologize or he won't walk the aisle. When he raises his hand again, it never lands — Cole catches his wrist midair, eyes locked on the red mark on Avery's cheek. His grip tightens until Sean screams. "My bride, you may hit him back now."
