Her Betrayal, His Hidden Crown

Episode 1

A hostage standoff opens the story: armed captors have seized scientists and are making demands, threatening a hostage if their leader doesn't appear. A fighter moves in and dismantles the situation, and a grateful father offers his daughter in marriage to the rescuer — who politely declines, saying he already has a wife.

That wife is Jane Shaw, a former fish seller returning from a year of study abroad. But something is off the moment she's picked up: she's visibly pregnant. Meanwhile, Jim Yale is preparing for the Drako Banquet, planning to finally reveal his true identity to her.

Episode 2

Jane's pregnancy is out in the open, and she refuses to explain it to Jim. Instead of remorse, she comes home with demands, treating Jim and his household as beneath her. Jim's household challenges her, pointing out she's still Jim's legal wife, but Jane brushes them off as servants and insects who have no right to raise their voices at her.

Then come her terms, delivered coldly. First: since her husband is "too busy" to care for a child, Jim must raise the baby himself. Her family backs her up, insisting Jim should feel honored to raise the child of a man they call the God of War — and warning him he'd be a fool to refuse.

Episode 3

The confrontation turns to morality. Jim's side accuses Jane's family of celebrating her infidelity and abandoning any sense of decency, while a national talent-recruitment document is waved, claiming her lover's service abroad makes Jane's pregnancy practically a state asset. Jim says he now sees Jane and her whole family clearly.

Jane moves to her second demand: Jim must hand over his company unconditionally so her lover has a qualified security firm to work through. Jim fires back that she came from a fish-stall family, that he taught her the business himself, and that he has spent far more than a billion supporting her relatives. What could she possibly use to repay him?

Episode 4

Jim's household reminds Jane's family of the past: how they once sold sick fish as fresh at the market, got their stall torn down, and became the neighborhood's laughingstock — until Jim stepped in and pulled them out of the mud. Now, they argue, the family treats him like a wallet and shows no gratitude at all.

Jane's family brushes it off, saying Jim married into the family, so of course they should share the wealth. Jim's side counters that he has quietly cleaned up the family's gambling debts and scandals for years. Then Jane reveals the father of her child: Hank Dunn, the Wolf King, leader of the mercenary group War Wolf.

Episode 5

The reveal lands. Hank Dunn is described as a powerful overseas mercenary commander — someone whose forces handle the jobs governments can't touch abroad. Jane boasts that he rescued her during a kidnapping overseas, that they fell for each other aboard his warship, and that she could never look at an ordinary man again after being kissed by a lion.

Jim's household dismisses War Wolf as a third-rate outfit compared to their young master. Jane ignores them and states her third condition: Jim's overseas estate. Her lover's men have already moved in and turned it into a base, and she wants Jim to sign the transfer agreement — even though that estate is where his father and fallen comrades are buried.

Episode 6

Jane defends her lover without flinching, calling him the father of her child and the only love of her life, and insists letting him use the estate is an honor the Yale family should be grateful for. She mocks Jim as a spoiled heir who never fought for anything, sneering that his family's fortune came from others and that he's too cowardly to protect it.

Then comes the cruelest blow: she claims the graves mean nothing, that the dead are just waste taking up resources. Jim's household erupts, and a fight breaks out. A retainer steps forward to shield Jim, telling him not to let these people dirty his hands.

Episode 7

The brawl leaves Jim's side bloodied but unbowed. Onlookers begin to wonder aloud about Jim — is he really just an heir coasting on family money, or is there another identity behind him? Word spreads that the nation's leader will hold the Drako Banquet to announce something major to the world, and that the truth about Jim will come out then.

One onlooker can't shake the feeling she's seen him somewhere before. When trouble flares again, Jim's retainer apologizes for being out of practice after too many years retired, then steps in to handle the rest, and the wounded are patched up.

Episode 8

The God of War's convoy is arriving, and Jane's child is told they'll soon see their father. Jane is pressed to get both agreements signed, warning that her husband cares about appearances and won't tolerate being slighted.

Jim warns Jane she'll regret her ignorance and arrogance. Jane fires back that she has seen the world while he's a frog at the bottom of a well, and that she's proud to bear Hank Dunn's child. Jim finally stops holding back: the seal is right there — if she wants it, she can come take it. Her side sends hired fighters to grab it, and Jim's people meet them.

Episode 9

The fight escalates as Jim's opponents try to strip him of whatever he's carrying. They're stunned to discover he's been wearing something incredibly heavy — hundreds of pounds of high-density composite material — and still moved with ease, having already beaten one of their best fighters.

An onlooker teases that Jim's wife is divorcing him, so maybe someone else has a chance. His retainer reveals the truth: Jim has been carrying roughly eight hundred pounds, fighting at only a fraction of his real strength. If he took it off, they couldn't withstand even a finger of his power.

Episode 10

Jim's opponents try dirty tricks, only to be crushed. Jane is shaken — when did this "useless" man become so strong? She demands to know if he studied martial arts, and why he hid it from her all this time.

Jim tells her she knows nothing about his strength, and that he's now completely done with her. He declares he's cutting ties with her entire family. Jane accuses him of lying to her for years, but his retainer says Jim had planned to reveal his identity after her return — and now there's no point. As she begs to know who he really is, Hank Dunn sneers that Jim is nothing but a beggar unworthy of judging him. The truth is still coming.
