I'm the Rule
In a world where power reigns supreme, a mysterious Emperor of the mafias must navigate betrayal, love, and loyalty as he fights to maintain his iron grip on the criminal underworld, all while keeping his true identity hidden from those closest to him.
Story Recap
Episode 1
A loudmouth in a bar sneers at an older man in a cheap shirt, telling him this club has no place for someone like him. But the sneer dies fast when the name lands: Michael, patriarch of the Patino family — the city's second and largest mafia clan, and the hand of the Emperor. The Emperor, it turns out, is no myth. He is real, and he survived the great purge ten years ago, when more than half the families vanished in a single night. Now the powerful bow, begging forgiveness from a servant of a man nobody has ever truly seen.

Episode 2
The Emperor stays in the shadows — that is the rule everyone lives by, and Michael knows it well. Yet today there is news worth stepping forward for, and it comes from the Capone family. It concerns the Emperor's wife. Whatever is happening in that house, it has the Emperor's attention, and he decides it is time to move. But not everyone wants him to walk into the open. A warning cuts through the moment: don't be stupid. The Emperor may be ready to act, but the people around him know exactly how dangerous it is when he does.

Episode 3
Michael brings the Emperor a victory: Aria Capone led an attack on the Sakala family, destroying their drug house and killing many of their men. That credit is enough to make her the first matriarch of the Capone family. The Emperor has waited three years for this. Michael admits that Aria Capone did most of the real work, while Aria was quietly helped to take the credit — under the Emperor's own orders. He promises to make it up to Aria Capone. Then he turns to the other names on the list of patriarch candidates and orders them handled quickly.

Episode 4
The patriarchs gather, unsettled. The mysterious Emperor rarely appears before his people — so why now, at this meeting? He greets the new and familiar faces and accepts their loyalty. Then Michael delivers the order: Aria Capone, daughter of the Capone family, has proven herself through dedicated service and fulfilled every contribution required of their world. She is appointed the first matriarch of the Capone family, and the coronation ceremony will be held in two days — performed by the Emperor himself. The room answers as one: your words are the rules.
Episode 5
The Emperor reflects on the irony: an exiled member of the Brando family is actually the Emperor, and the reactions when people learn the truth will be something to see. Still, he decides to stay in the dark a little longer. Better not to scare his wife — he will tell her after the ceremony. At home, Joseph is told that Aria will return tomorrow and that he must be there; she has something important to tell him. He welcomes her with a cake he made to celebrate her victory. Her answer is cold: a stupid cake, a waste of time.
Episode 6
Aria tells Joseph she is going to be the first woman matriarch of the Capone family, crowned by the Emperor in person, and that everything is about to change. Then she ends the marriage. Joseph asks why she wants to leave him; she throws three years back in his face — a man exiled from a grand family, now nothing but a nameless minion, a useless beggar taking free meals. He reminds her he is the reason she is becoming matriarch at all. She calls it lies. He signs the agreement, warning her she started this and will pay for her blindness.
Episode 7
Aria Capone steps in for Joseph, reminding Aria that he has done everything asked of him for three years and deserves respect. Aria takes it as a challenge to her authority. Aria Capone insists she only came to congratulate her, but Aria declares that challenging the matriarch is a crime — the worst a family member can commit. Aria Capone is dismissed from all her duties. Others protest that this has nothing to do with Aria Capone, but the order stands. Aria tells her she no longer deserves her friendship. A friendship that survived years ends in a single sentence.
Episode 8
A token changes hands — a small thing that used to be a symbol of friendship, gifted to Aria five years ago, now returned. Then comes a quieter reunion. The Emperor recognizes the woman standing before him: she is the girl he saved sixteen years ago. She confirms it. The timing is cruel and the debt is old, but the connection is real. Whatever Aria has taken from her, Aria Capone has something Aria never knew about — a history with the man behind the Emperor, and a reason for him to finally step out of the dark.
Episode 9
The Emperor apologizes to Aria Capone — for taking so long to find her, for failing to protect her, for promoting Aria instead of her. But it is not too late: he will make it right. Meanwhile, Joseph is mocked as a shameless dog who loses one master and finds another. Aria pushes him to sign and get out, convinced he only wants her free so she can marry the Emperor. He signs, then promises she will regret it at tomorrow's ceremony — that she will finally understand everything she missed. Aria Capone, he says, is the woman who actually deserves it all.
