Love after Layoffs

Episode 1

Lydia just closed a five-million-dollar deal for her husband Duke's company. She calls home ready to celebrate. Instead, she walks in on Duke with another woman, Amber.

What follows is worse than the betrayal. Duke doesn't apologize. He tells Lydia she's too obsessed with work, that she refuses to give him children, that Amber makes him feel like a man. Every deal she closed, every late night she put in — dismissed as nothing.

Lydia doesn't crumble quietly. She tears into him as a pathetic excuse for a man. But the damage is done, and the night is young.

Episode 2

Reeling, Lydia ends up at a bar — and runs straight into the client manager she met earlier that day. He recognizes her immediately. She's in no state to be out alone, and he quietly arranges a VIP room to get her out of sight before anyone from the deal sees her like this.

But Lydia isn't looking for rescue. She's raw, drunk, and done being careful. When he tries to slow things down, she's the one pushing forward.

One thing leads to another — and by morning, Lydia will have crossed a line she can't take back.

Episode 3

Lydia wakes up horrified: did she really sleep with her own client? She tries to slip out before he wakes, but the client manager catches her. He's easy about it — two grownups, it happens. Then he asks her to breakfast and admits he'd like to see her again.

Lydia shuts it down cold. She just escaped one marriage; she isn't trusting another man. She leaves him behind without a second look.

At the office, the real blow lands: her desk is cleared out. She's been fired — by Duke himself. Meanwhile, the client manager is quietly something far bigger than a "manager."

Episode 4

Lydia storms into Duke's office demanding answers. She built this company, brought in every client — and now she's being thrown out like trash. Duke's response is ice: he owns one hundred percent of the shares, so he can fire anyone he wants. Her years of work were "her choice."

She demands what she's owed — her commissions, and the million from yesterday's deal. Duke refuses, handing the credit to Amber instead. He even admits he's been hiding money, knowing she can't touch it in court.

Lydia walks out with a warning: his time is coming. Then someone offers her a big deal.

Episode 5

Lydia isn't finished. She's already thinking two moves ahead — if she can land that million-dollar contract, she can claw her way back and make Duke pay.

At the same time, the client manager's people are prepping the Roman Corso contract signing. Everything is ready; they just need to head out and close it.

Lydia steps up to handle the deal herself, and the client manager leaves it in her hands. Both sides are walking into the same room — and neither knows exactly who they're about to face across the table.

Episode 6

The signing is set, and Amber is the one who shows up to run it. She takes credit for Lydia's work, claiming the deal only happened because they backed her — that Lydia couldn't have closed it alone.

Across the table sits the procurement manager from Roman Corso. He's ready to finalize the five-million-dollar contract. But something doesn't sit right.

He remembers negotiating this deal with someone else entirely. Where is Lydia? The room goes quiet. Amber's smooth pitch is about to hit a wall she didn't see coming.

Episode 7

Amber scrambles to explain Lydia away — claiming Lydia negotiated without permission, skipped internal processes, and even locked Amber in her own house to keep her from following up. She's fired, Amber insists. Amber is the one who should be signing.

The procurement manager doesn't buy a word of it. He fires back the only thing that matters: they fired the original negotiator, so he's not signing anything.

Amber tries threats — there won't be a better deal, his superiors will want someone to blame. He doesn't flinch. He knows exactly who he's dealing with, and he won't be bullied into a decision.

If you love a good "watch her rise from the ashes" revenge ride, this one's worth hitting play on tonight.
