Episode 1

Elena is a nurse trapped in a house that should be a home. Her uncle Charles corners her while she's in the shower, and when she fights him off, her aunt Susie shrugs it away — he just wants to show how much he loves her.

No one in this family is on her side. The threats get uglier: there's nowhere to run now.

Elena isn't a pushover, though. She shoves him off and refuses to play along. But she's outnumbered, and the people who should protect her are the ones closing in.

Episode 2

Sebastian is officially named head of the Balduchi family. But the gathering curdles fast when business turns to expanding into fentanyl.

An accusation cuts through the room — you killed my father, and now it's time to pay with your life. The denial that comes back, that rumors shouldn't fool him and that their families go way back, doesn't sound like the whole truth.

Meanwhile Elena is looking for somewhere safe to hide, even weighing whether she can stay with Devin. Then she stumbles on a man in bad shape. Nurse instincts kick in, and she moves to help him.

Episode 3

The wounded man is Sebastian, and he's bleeding out. Elena tells him plainly that if she doesn't treat the wound, he'll die. He asks who she is; she says she's a nurse, here to save his life. He asks if she knows who he is. It doesn't matter — he needs help.

She's tougher and more fearless than she looks, even with his men searching the area for him. She gets him patched up and slips away without giving her name.

Later, his men report the search. Sebastian's order is cold and absolute: find her, whatever it takes. Then he adds the line that changes everything — he'll make her his wife.

Episode 4

Sebastian turns up at the hospital as a patient, and the two meet again. He's impressed by the field dressing that saved him and credits the woman who bandaged him.

He can't stop thinking about Elena. When she tells him to get back in bed before he tears his stitches, he actually listens — yes, ma'am.

Then he makes his move. A $10 million donation to the hospital's new wing buys him leverage, and Elena is assigned as his personal nurse until discharge. He asks her to dinner. She refuses flatly: she doesn't date gangsters, and she has a boyfriend. His answer is a warning — she doesn't want to be with that man.

Episode 5

Sebastian's people report that Elena's home is safe and ask what to do about the boyfriend. He's already decided.

Elsewhere, Devin's proposal is a mess from the start. He admits the ring is a discount piece with no real diamonds, and another woman complains that he's marrying Elena when he has her — they can keep sneaking around, and Elena's paychecks will keep them going.

Devin blindfolds Elena and leads her into a celebration that isn't about his win. He says he knows she's always wanted a home of her own. Will she marry him? She says yes — and then someone objects.
