My Fate, Reversed

Episode 1

Michael Lowell dies hearing Rosa Swanson's laughter, the one enemy who came to watch him go. She tells him he deserved it since the day he wronged her. His last thought is regret and a wish to start over.

Then he opens his eyes in 1995, back on the very day he was set up and framed for kidnapping Rosa. Rosa is bound on a hotel bed, furious. Michael realizes he's been reborn, and this time he can't repeat the crime that destroyed the Lu family. He tells her he was set up. She doesn't buy it for a second.

Episode 2

Rosa refuses to believe a word. She orders him to untie her and get off, reminding him she knows exactly what kind of man he is. Michael scrambles to explain he was framed and that he hasn't done anything.

He steps back, shaken by how real this second chance feels. He even catches himself staring and gets snapped at for it. Then it hits him: in his last life, he wanted to keep something of hers as a keepsake. Now he wonders whether he should return it to her.

Episode 3

Michael promises Rosa a full explanation within twenty-four hours and leaves. He knows her soft exterior hides a ruthless streak, and that if he mishandles this, the Lu family will face brutal retaliation.

Outside, Zhang Zun, a subordinate tied to the Lu group's old guard, greets him too casually. Michael suspects Zhang Zun is the one who drugged Rosa and set the trap, guessing he knew her real background all along. He vows to uncover who is behind it. Zhang Zun, rattled by Michael's sudden change, worries the plan is falling apart.

Episode 4

Zhang Zun pushes Michael to finish what he started, arguing that a woman's reputation is everything and she might cave once ruined. Michael shuts him down cold, calling the scheme cheap and telling him to leave.

Zhang Zun backs off, confused by the shift. Michael then instructs a hotel attendant to buy a set of clothes in a specific size and send them to Rosa's room. Rosa, meanwhile, seethes. She can't understand why he stopped at the last moment, and she vows the Lu family will pay.

Episode 5

Michael's father scolds him for neglecting a critical day of securities trading, warning that any mistake ends his easy life. Michael remembers the truth: his past behavior made the Su family crush the Lu family, leaving his father broken.

He also recalls that today, the heads of Wanhua Securities and Ningguo Financial Holdings approach his father to join a market war. His father bet everything and was betrayed. With only two hours left, Michael races to change the outcome. Rosa, still furious, orders someone to track him down.

Episode 6

At the trading floor, Michael runs into Li Li, the one employee who always despised him. In his last life, when the Lu family fell and everyone abandoned him, only she stayed to help him rebuild.

Li Li is stunned by his sudden change in attitude. She warns him today matters enormously for his father and the whole Lu group. Rosa shows up too, accusing him of flirting. Michael brushes it off and asks Li Li how much capital they've committed. Learning they haven't moved yet, he decides the situation can still be turned around.

Episode 7

Li Li protests that Michael is overstepping, but he presses her about Wanhua Securities. She admits they called half an hour ago, anxious about the Lu family's silence.

Michael remembers Wanhua was already on its last legs, waiting for the Lu family to jump in. He tells Li Li the real show is just beginning. Li Li can't read him at all anymore. Rosa mocks him for drinking tea while millions move every minute. When he hears they have 120 million, he says it isn't enough and asks Li Li to quietly raise more from friendly banks.

Episode 8

Li Li is alarmed by how much he wants to borrow and insists she should report to his father. Michael reminds her he's the one in charge this time and pushes her to think harder.

If Wanhua has bet everything, losing means the end for them, so they must be hiding a backup plan. Li Li realizes the intelligence she gathered is only what Wanhua wanted her to see. She starts to wonder whether Michael has been hiding his real abilities all along.

Episode 9

Li Li agrees to raise the funds, astonishing the staff, since even senior executives tread carefully around her. Michael checks the price, then tells her to watch Wanhua and Ningguo Financial Holdings.

Li Li doubts Ningguo matters, but Michael warns they could betray them at the key moment. He remembers how, in his last life, the contract's loopholes let them sacrifice the Lu family for huge profits. When Li Li confirms two hundred million from private banks will arrive within ten minutes, he says it's time to begin.

Episode 10

Michael reveals the plan: they will stab Wanhua Securities in the back. Li Li is horrified, reminding him they signed a strategic partnership to stand together.

He bets that within ten minutes Ningguo's leadership will turn on Wanhua, and Wanhua will beg the Lu family to charge in as cannon fodder. Li Li thinks it's absurd. Then word arrives: Ningguo has started shorting Wanhua and demands the Lu family join immediately. Li Li is stunned. Michael orders the operation to begin, and the profit target climbs past a billion.
