Episode 1

Alice is counting down the last days of a five-year sentence she never deserved. Her mother worked her whole life for the Gower family, and when cancer came, they refused to pay for treatment unless Alice went to prison for their daughter, Julian. Now the Gowers want one more payment from her: they've arranged a conjugal visit with a stranger, and if she refuses, her mother gets nothing. Episode 2

Episode 6

Alice wakes up a captive and demands to know who these people are. The name lands like a blow: Christian Celine — as in the powerful crime family. Worse, his voice sounds strangely familiar, though she can't place why. He announces they're getting married today. Alice protests that she doesn't even know him, but Christian accuses her of playing innocent, insisting she wanted this all along and that he has no time for her games. When his men point out she can't go to a courthouse looking like this, he orders the car back to the mansion to have her cleaned up.

Episode 7

Alice seizes her chance and escapes through a window, and Christian's fury echoes through the mansion as he orders his men to find her. Elsewhere, word spreads that Christian has overthrown his brother Harry and taken the Celine family — making him a man everyone suddenly wants as an ally. Meanwhile, Alice makes it to a doctor, where a routine check delivers news that changes everything: she's pregnant, and her body is badly malnourished. The encounter she wanted to forget has left her with a child — and no money, no home, and no plan.

Episode 8

At the bedside of Christian's mother, Katherine, she brushes off the nurses and insists she's survived worse — prison included. She asks where Alice is, reminding Christian he promised to bring her back. Christian admits Alice escaped and suggests she's just a gold digger scamming them, but Katherine refuses to hear it. Alice was the only person who took care of her in prison, and she wants Christian to marry her before the cancer takes her. Later, a desperate Alice runs into Katherine and, out of options, asks to borrow money.

Episode 9

Christian corners Alice, furious that she asked his dying mother — a woman with only three months left — for money. He's convinced she's a gold digger who latched onto Katherine in prison to claw her way into the Celine fortune. Alice insists she never knew Katherine was his mother. Then Christian lays out his terms: they marry today, he won't touch her, and in front of his mother she'll play the perfect wife. After three months, they divorce, and she gets a million dollars. Alice weighs it — enough for her baby and a new life — and agrees.

Episode 10

At the hospital, Katherine beams: they're married now, and she insists Alice call her mom. She's already set up their wedding room and cheerfully tells them to get on with giving her a grandchild before she goes to rest. Alone together, the act begins. Christian pulls Alice close, reminding her his mother is watching — but something shifts. She catches a scent that reminds her of the man from that night, and he seems to recognize something in her too. The kiss lingers longer than either of them planned.
