She Rests in Peace, They Rest in Grief

Episode 1

Luna Lowe has spent a decade inside the Lowe family, and for a while it looked like a fairy tale. The brothers doted on her, the birthdays were hers, and she believed she had finally found a home. Then Luna Lowe comes back — the real daughter — and everything Luna had quietly becomes "borrowed."

When Luna falls down the stairs, the accusation lands on Luna fast. She's called ungrateful, vicious, a snake in the nest. Nobody asks what actually happened. Luna doesn't fight it. She signs a waiver for the Xinyue Sleep Plan, a thirty-year sleep experiment, and sets her disappearance for her eighteenth birthday. She says she has no one she can't leave behind. Three days later, someone will come for her.

Episode 2

The brothers still fuss over Luna — sort of. They nag her to stay home and wait for her checkup, reminding her that her heart is weak. But the moment Luna calls, they're gone. Luna's chest tightens; she reaches for help. The car pulls away with Luna inside instead.

She's left behind, dismissed as dramatic. She thinks that even if she vanished from this world completely, they probably wouldn't care. Her eighteenth birthday is three days away — maybe her last one. The brothers are already treating her like a problem to be managed, not a sister to be saved. Whatever warmth was left is draining fast.

Episode 3

Luna collapses, and for a moment the family snaps into panic — doctors, promises, guilt. But it's Luna they hover over, Luna they reassure. Luna's low blood sugar, quietly hidden for over a decade, only surfaces now because she stopped protecting them from it.

Even the small kindnesses turn out to be borrowed. The porridge she loves, the fussing, the "you're our only sister" — it all belongs to Luna. Luna records it anyway, one last happy day, and tells her helper she's going through with the volunteer program. Then a message arrives: someone has been looking for her for five years. She isn't nobody after all.

Episode 4

The volunteer's identity is sealed tight — no leaks, no exceptions, the family will cover all costs. Luna keeps her secret even as her brothers argue over who gets to drive Luna home. When they finally visit Luna in the hospital, it's only because they're passing by.

What they overhear stops them cold: Luna saying she'd never choose this family again. The brothers erupt, calling her ungrateful after twelve years of love. She doesn't take it back. Then comes the announcement — the Xinyue Sleep Plan has a volunteer, and the Lowes are throwing a celebration in three days. Luna's birthday. Nobody remembers. She asks, quietly, whether they'd be sad if they knew the volunteer was her.

Episode 5

The brothers surprise Luna with a birthday gift, and for a heartbeat it feels like old times. Then Luna appears wearing the custom heels — the ones meant for Luna — and the room turns. Luna is accused of stealing, of being jealous and greedy, while Luna plays the gracious sister who'll simply let her keep them.

Her mother's verdict cuts deepest: nothing in this house is yours just because you want it. Luna apologizes, smiles, and thanks her brother for the shoes. She promises to wear them to the celebration. She realizes only she was holding on to the past, and that they're the real family. She's already packing herself out of their story.

Episode 6

Luna wants Luna's room — the brightest one, best for recovery — and the brothers hand it over without blinking. Luna protests; it's the one space that was hers. She gets the storage room instead, and even that's called a favor.

She doesn't fight. She says she won't be in this house much longer anyway. The brothers keep insisting she matters most, even as they rearrange her life around Luna. Luna watches them choose, again and again, and understands the truth plainly: this family never had a place for her. There's nothing left to defend.

Episode 7

Luna's cat, Little Reunion, goes missing — and the family blames Luna for whatever happened, even though the cat was a gift from her brother. Luna twists the knife, and the brothers take her side. Luna stops arguing. She says she'll find the cat and leave with it.

Later, in the snow, the accusations turn physical. Luna claims Luna hurt her; Luna insists she was only trying to help. A slap lands. The brothers don't listen. Luna, hurt and freezing, keeps calling for the cat and for the one person who might still be on her side. Nobody comes.

Episode 8

Luna wakes to apologies that ring hollow and a dress laid out for her. It's the day of the celebration — for the sleep plan, not her birthday. She already knows they forgot. Luna fakes another heart episode, and the brothers rush off, promising to replace the cat later.

At the banquet, the head of the Lowe family toasts the mysterious volunteer and then makes the announcement: the Xinyue Sleep Plan will be renamed after Luna. Luna's sacrifice is being rebranded as her sister's honor. She sits through it, invisible, while the family celebrates the very thing that will erase her.

Episode 9

At the family gathering, Luna stages another fall — this time near a grill — and everyone sides with her. Luna points out the holes in the story: why didn't Luna warn their brother, why would Luna risk herself to save him? The brothers don't care. They accuse her of faking illness and demand she apologize to Luna.

Luna says she needs her medicine. They mock her. Luna, ever the martyr, offers a tearful apology that makes Luna look worse. Cornered and outnumbered, Luna finally stops explaining. The room has already decided who the villain is, and it isn't Luna.

Episode 10

Luna drops the mask and taunts Luna about the cat — how horribly it died. Luna lunges, and the house erupts. Luna collapses on cue, and the family turns on Luna completely, calling her a curse they should never have brought home.

The head of the Lowe family declares he's severing ties. The brothers half-heartedly suggest an apology would fix it; Luna magnanimously agrees to cut Luna off. Luna doesn't beg. She says maybe it was a mistake from the beginning, and walks out. Her birthday and her farewell land on the same day. If you want to see where Luna goes next, this one's worth pressing play on.
