Signed, Sealed, Secretly Married

Episode 1

Tessa Gray arrives in the city from the countryside, determined to make something of herself. When an elderly man collapses from heatstroke, she stops to help — even as bystanders warn that country people get scammed for being kind. She doesn't care. The man recovers and thanks her, then starts asking questions: her name, whether she has a boyfriend. He mentions his grandson is single and wants to introduce them. Tessa is baffled. The grandfather, it turns out, has already decided he owes her a debt — and he intends to repay it his own way, by pushing his grandson straight toward a marriage certificate.

Episode 2

The grandfather's matchmaking turns serious fast. He insists his grandson Dave Quinn marry Tessa to repay her kindness, and when she hesitates, he offers whatever bride price she wants. Tessa has a reason to say yes: her father needs surgery, and the cost is 280,000. She asks for exactly that. Dave agrees, though he's wary that she might be after money. Over the phone, Tessa tells her mother the hospital found a donor and she'll figure out the fee. Within half an hour of meeting, she and a stranger are married — and Tessa can hardly believe what she's just done.

Episode 3

The next morning, Dave offers Tessa a ride to work. She assumes his car costs a couple hundred thousand and that he must be doing well as a driver — not realizing it's far beyond that. At Quinn Corp, Tessa introduces herself as a new cleaner. Her colleagues immediately sneer at her rural background, and one manager makes clear that a country girl is lucky to even be hired. Tessa pushes back, saying character matters more than pedigree. Then she learns the company president's name: Dave Quinn — the same name as her brand-new husband. She brushes it off as a coincidence, but the audience won't.

Episode 4

Tessa's coworkers pounce on the coincidence, mocking her for implying the CEO could be her husband. They point out her paperwork lists her as unmarried and accuse her of scheming above her station. Lana Harris, the manager, is revealed to be Dave's childhood sweetheart — and she's clearly threatened. Lana orders Tessa to wipe a scuff off her designer shoe, then escalates, demanding Tessa kneel if she can't clean it properly. Tessa swallows her pride, thinking of the 280,000 she still owes. But the humiliation crosses a line, and someone finally steps in to stop it.

Episode 5

The confrontation draws attention from the top. Dave Quinn appears and shuts down the staff's cruelty, making clear that character matters more than credentials — and that Quinn Corp doesn't need employees who treat people this way. One manager is told to hand in her resignation. Lana is stunned. Afterward, Tessa corners Dave: is he really the CEO? He admits it, explaining he stayed quiet because he didn't know how she felt about their arrangement. Tessa's secret husband is, in fact, her boss — and she still wants the marriage kept hidden from everyone at work.

Episode 6

Tessa tells Dave she wants to keep the marriage secret so it won't affect her job, and promises she won't use their relationship for shortcuts. He seems to take it well. Meanwhile, the office buzzes that Tessa is the only person who's ever pursued the CEO and survived unscathed. Curious, Tessa asks a coworker about Dave and Lana. She learns they're childhood sweethearts — the Quinn and Harris families don't get along, but Lana came to the company specifically for Dave. Then comes the twist: Dave once publicly said he has someone he's loved for three years. Tessa is left reeling.

Episode 7

If Dave already has a sweetheart, why did he marry Tessa? She wonders if he simply couldn't marry the woman he wanted and settled for her to escape his grandfather's pressure. Dave, meanwhile, orders his assistant to keep the marriage strictly confidential. Lana overhears talk of a wedding and confronts Dave, confessing she joined the company for him. He shuts her down coldly, telling her he only ever saw her as a sister and warning her to stop. Then Dave gets a call: his godmother is coming to the company — and she already knows he's married.

Episode 8

Dave's godmother, a respected lady, arrives at Quinn Corp determined to meet her new goddaughter-in-law — but she dresses plainly to seem approachable and slips in on her own. Lana sees a chance: if she can impress the godmother, maybe she can win Dave. Meanwhile, Tessa helps the plainly dressed older woman after she stumbles, only to be berated by coworkers for bringing a "shabby" outsider into a prestigious company. Tessa fires back, calling out their hypocrisy for looking down on an elderly person while calling themselves elites.

Episode 9

Furious at Tessa's defiance, a manager announces she's fired. The godmother steps forward, declaring that Tessa won't be fired — the ones who should go are the people abusing their power. When the staff sneer that she's nobody compared to Lana's family connections, the godmother stands her ground and dares anyone to lay a hand on Tessa. Lana escalates, ordering security to throw them out and threatening Tessa directly. Just as the confrontation boils over, Dave arrives — and the room goes quiet.
