Episode 1

Eason Morris walks out of prison into a world that already forgot him. He says it plainly: his parents, his sister, and his fiancée were the ones who put him behind bars. The family's story is that he pushed Colin Yeats down the stairs and hit him with a car—but the name they keep praising is Colin Yeats, the adopted brother who is "kind, innocent, and frail."

At home, the concern is all for Colin's career. Word spreads that Master Quinn, a legendary cellist, is looking for a final disciple. Then Master Quinn asks Eason the question that changes everything: will he come with him this time?

Episode 2

Master Quinn makes his offer plain. He doesn't care about Eason's record or his name—only the talent he refuses to let go to waste. He even offers to give Eason a new identity. Eason agrees, and a departure is set for half a month later.

Back at the house, the old pattern repeats. A dog is hurt, and the blame lands on Eason before anyone asks a question. Colin performs his usual gentle act; the family decides Eason did it out of spite. Even his dog allergy is forgotten. Then Colin suggests throwing Eason a welcome-home banquet—another stage for the favorite son.

Episode 3

The banquet planning turns into a quiet humiliation. The family buys thirty thousand roses, bakes matcha cake, and bids on a white gown—every detail meant for Colin, not Eason. When Eason points out that roses, matcha, and white were never his favorites, the family calls him petty for noticing.

Colin drops the mask for a moment: Eason's return changes nothing, because their parents and sister belong to Colin now. He arranges for Eason to be beaten where the bruises won't show. Then comes a rigged choice—only one person can be saved, and Eason is told to wait.

Episode 4

The rescue ends the way Eason already expected. He is left behind while Colin is pulled out first, and he admits to himself that he still hoped for something different. When he wakes, he isn't in a hospital—he's locked in a room.

The family's verdict arrives fast: the kidnapping and explosion were staged by Eason himself. Colin's story is that Eason terrified Colin into a high fever. Eason protests that he's claustrophobic; nobody believes him. Colin plays the forgiving brother, and the parents hand out a new car and a watch as compensation. Meanwhile, Eason quietly confirms a plane ticket—seven days out.

Episode 5

The ticket nearly gives Eason away, but he covers it. His fiancée scolds him for being sharp-tongued, then leaves to sit at Colin's bedside. At the hospital, onlookers marvel at how spoiled Colin is: a private ward, specialists pulled in overnight, a girlfriend who never leaves.

Then a bracelet shatters. The family's heirloom is broken, and the only people who passed the room were Colin and Eason. Eason demands a fingerprint test. No one takes him up on it. Instead he's dragged out and ordered to kneel until he confesses.

Episode 6

A second camera angle surfaces, and the truth flips: the bracelet was broken by Colin, who was too frightened to admit it. The family moves on as if nothing happened, and the fiancée starts talking about their wedding—the one their families agreed on before either turned twenty-seven.

Eason says he no longer wants to marry her. She panics, and the household rushes in. What follows is the real ask: Colin has one wish, and the family wants Eason to grant it. They want him to let Colin go through with a wedding—real or fake—for her sake.

Episode 7

The family piles on the guilt. They insist Colin never wanted to compete, that he kept quiet, and that his one wish is to marry the fiancée—even if it's only on paper. The fiancée swears her heart belongs to Eason and always will.

Eason finally stops arguing. He tells them to do whatever they want, even if the fake wedding turns real. The date is set, and it lands on the same day Eason plans to leave. He keeps that detail to himself.

Episode 8

The wedding is planned like a real one. No expense spared, guest lists drawn up, jobs set aside. The family showers Colin with gifts and a custom wedding outfit, while the fiancée presents a ring she says she begged for.

At the birthday celebration, Colin asks for one thing: a kiss from the fiancée. The family pressures her to grant it, calling it a birthday wish. Eason watches, then quietly throws something away. He tells them the tenth is the day he leaves—though no one seems to hear it.

Episode 9

Colin drops the act entirely. He taunts Eason: with a few small moves, he took the parents, the sister, and the fiancée. The wedding is just an appetizer. Everything Eason has will belong to Colin.

The fiancée pleads that it's only a fake ceremony, that Eason promised. The family tells Eason to stop fighting it; if the ring gets ruined, they'll simply buy a better one. Every reassurance is really a demand. Eason says nothing that gives him away.

Episode 10

Eason cuts the last thread. He says he has no family anymore. He's done being the one who was ground down in prison while Colin wore a mask of innocence. A package is to be delivered to them on time.

The family heads to the wedding and tells Eason to stay home. He agrees—and mentions the gift already sent, plus a bigger surprise waiting when they return. At the ceremony, someone kneels and admits defeat. The reply is chilling: the living can never break free from the dead.
