The Longlost Heiress's Return

Episode 1

Nova Park stands in the rain, selling her handmade banana cakes to strangers. She adds a secret ingredient, and the customers who taste it keep coming back. But the reason she's out there every single day is her mother, Nova Park, who is seriously ill in the hospital. Medical bills are brutal, and the family needs every coin.

Then the blow lands: the insurance company has cancelled Nova's policy and refuses to cover her upcoming surgery. The family can't afford it alone. Nova keeps selling, determined to earn enough before the storm rolls in, while a kind stranger hands over extra money so she can get home safe.

Episode 2

Nova returns home soaked but triumphant, carrying a banana cake baked with roses as her secret ingredient. It's Nova's birthday, and the cake is the best Nova has ever tasted. Mother and daughter share a tender moment, but the truth about the surgery cost hangs between them.

Nova overhears everything and offers to give up her summer chemistry program — a once-in-a-lifetime chance to pursue her dream of inventing medicine. Nova refuses to let her sacrifice it. Nova promises to study harder and find another way. In the end, Nova agrees to the surgery, and the operation is a success. Mother and daughter vow to watch over each other.

Episode 3

Nova heads out to deliver cakes to her customers, promising to be back for dinner. She never returns. Two days pass, and a frantic Nova searches for her daughter while a hurricane bears down on the city. Rescue teams urge Nova to stay safe, but she refuses to stop looking.

Years later, Nova has built the Seeker Group into the world's largest conglomerate, and her one directive remains finding Nova. In a lab, Owen Ford celebrates a breakthrough: a new low-cost drug that passed every test. Owen insists his name goes on it, claiming what's hers is his — then asks Nova for money for a new car.

Episode 4

Nova tells Owen she has little money left after buying him a suit, and that her savings are meant for their wedding. Owen promises to propose once the drug is approved, then convinces her to transfer all her wedding money to him so he can "help plan." She agrees, and he leaves for his shift.

Nova's team reports a breakthrough: a blood sample from an underground blood bank matches her daughter's blood. A new medicine from the same city treats the exact disease that nearly killed Nova twenty years ago. Nova realizes Nova kept her childhood promise to find a cure. She orders Ruby to ready the car.

Episode 5

Ruby reports that the new medicine's inventor is Owen Ford, a lab worker at Life Pharmacy whose father manages the lab. Owen's long-term girlfriend also works there — her name is Nova Park. Nova's team warns that many liars have used that name, but Nova doesn't care whether the woman is her daughter; she likes the drug. She orders Jonathan Jones, the CEO of Life Pharmacy, to arrange a $20 million reward and a promotion for Owen Ford.

Meanwhile, Nova stops her car at a cake stand. A young woman sells handmade cakes to save for her wedding, saying she loves her fiancé. Nova notices the woman's watch and feels an odd familiarity.

Episode 6

Nova asks about the young woman's watch, which bears a favorite cartoon design. The seller says the boss gave it to her. Nova hands over far too much money, and the startled girl insists she must give it back. As Nova leaves, she repeats Nova's name.

At the lab, the team announces that Owen's new drug has won a major prize, and a promotion ceremony will be held that evening. Nova realizes this means Owen will propose tonight and rushes to get ready. Back home, a memory surfaces: a banana cake with roses, and the realization that the cake seller is Nova. Nova orders everyone to go back now.

Episode 7

Nova's team confirms the cake seller wears a lab coat and must work at Life Pharmacy, where Owen Ford's ceremony is being held. Nova arrives as the celebration begins. Colleagues congratulate Owen on his new drug, and Jonathan Jones reveals he gave a direct order for Owen's promotion. Owen's father boasts that inventing such a pill was easy for his genius son.

Nova watches from the crowd, wearing the suit she bought Owen, waiting for his proposal. Owen takes the stage and thanks one special woman who supported him through everything. He calls her up — it's Abigail, not Nova.

Episode 8

Owen publicly thanks Abigail, calling her the person who guided him and stayed up late helping with his research. Abigail plays along, and the two announce they'll be married next week. The crowd praises the couple, noting Owen's father is a manager at the lab.

Nova confronts Owen, reminding him he promised to propose after the promotion. Owen's family turns on her, calling her trash and telling her to stop dreaming about joining them. Nova demands to hear it from Owen himself. He delivers the cruel truth: he was never going to marry her, calling her a worthless name and admitting she was only ever free labor.

Episode 9

Nova's team warns her they've been tricked before and urges her to wait for verification before damaging her relationship with Life Pharmacy. Nova gives them three minutes to produce the results or be fired.

At the ceremony, Owen and his family continue tearing Nova down, mocking her as a penniless orphan and saying her money couldn't buy one of Abigail's handbags. Nova fires back that without her, Owen wouldn't even be having this big day. Owen's mother tells her to shut up, and Nova warns them not to face the consequences of messing with her.

Episode 10

Reeling from Owen's betrayal, Nova finally sees the truth: he chose Abigail over her, just like she feared any man would. Abigail twists the knife, mocking Nova as nothing more than a little side distraction and flaunting her victory.

Then Abigail escalates, threatening to show everyone naked pictures she claims to have of Nova, bragging about how many she possesses and asking the crowd who wants to see them. Nova stands humiliated in front of the entire lab, the celebration turning into a public spectacle designed to destroy her dignity completely.
