Where Were You When I Fell

Episode 1

Evie has two lives. By day she's the orphan the Jones family took in; by night she's Vaughn Jones's bodyguard and his secret lover. That balance shatters when he scolds her for dancing with another man — even after she points out the guy spiked her drink. Then comes the real blow: Naomi, Vaughn's ex, is coming back, and the Jones family wants an alliance. He tells Evie he'll be engaged to Naomi. "This is the last time," he says. "We can't do this anymore." Just like that, the woman who guards him is told she was never the one.

Episode 2

Naomi returns in full force, and she knows exactly where to strike. She corners Evie with cruel names, reminding her she's just the bodyguard while Naomi is the fiancée. When Naomi stages a scene and cries for help, Vaughn doesn't ask questions — he accuses Evie of ruining his engagement. Blue roses and stolen glances mean nothing now. Evie watches the man she loves choose someone else in public, and something in her starts to close. She tells herself it's time to walk away from his life. But Naomi isn't finished with her yet.

Episode 3

At the engagement party, Naomi rips her own dress and throws herself into the champagne tower, then blames Evie in front of both families. Evie refuses to confess to a lie, insisting someone must have seen the truth — but no one speaks up. Vaughn orders her to apologize anyway. That's when it lands: he knew Naomi framed her and still took Naomi's side. Evie says the words that change everything — she's not sure she can stand beside him anymore. The debt she owes the family that raised her suddenly feels like a cage.

Episode 4

Vaughn admits Naomi framed Evie, yet still won't humiliate his fiancée in public. The reason cuts deepest of all: Naomi comes from a fallen family, but Evie is "some bodyguard who crawled out of an orphanage." Hearing her worst fear said out loud, Evie asks Mr. Jones to let her leave the family that took her in eighteen years ago. Her duty as Vaughn's protector is done. She makes one final promise — if she finds a way to heal his leg, she walks away for good. He asks if she really wants to leave. She says yes.

Episode 5

Evie digs up a file on Dr. Carson, the only surgeon who can fix Vaughn's leg — but he now works for the Morretti mafia family, and crossing them is dangerous. She doesn't care. "This time I'm doing it to leave him for good." Meanwhile Naomi tightens her grip, and Vaughn orders Evie to guard Naomi everywhere. Evie refuses: she works for him, not her. Naomi twists it into proof that Evie no longer obeys, and Vaughn threatens to involve his grandfather. Then Naomi hands her a petty errand — find my missing cat.

Episode 6

Naomi's cat, Snowball, turns up dead, and Naomi screams that Evie is a monster and a murderer. Evie insists she was searching other rooms and begs them to check the security footage — but Naomi slaps her and orders the guards to throw her into the pool in ice water. Vaughn coldly warns Evie not to fight back. Someone urges giving her a chance to prove herself, but Vaughn refuses, comparing Evie to a proud, stubborn cat that must have its pride broken to stay. Evie's answer is quiet and final: she's leaving him.

Episode 7

Evie wakes determined to find Dr. Carson, who is treating Morretti that day. Her friend warns her the mob won't let her anywhere near him — and that she still needs rest. Evie goes anyway: "Even if it kills me." Back home, Vaughn gets a surprise visitor. Dr. Carson has arrived, and he tells Vaughn he's the only man who can fix his leg. A young lady was very insistent, the doctor says. Vaughn assumes the surprise is Naomi's doing. The doctor reviews the scans and promises one surgery could have him walking normally.

Episode 8

Vaughn thanks Naomi for bringing Dr. Carson, and she happily takes the credit. But the doctor knows the truth — it was Evie who begged him to come. Naomi panics, certain Evie is trying to win Vaughn back, and vows it won't happen "on my watch." As the doctor leaves, he tells Evie that Vaughn really loves her and to treat him well; Vaughn says he will marry her. Naomi decides it's time to end Evie for good. Elsewhere, someone notices Evie looks exactly like Mr. Hawkins's missing daughter.

Episode 9

It's a trap, and everyone is walking into it. A man claims Evie texted him to come sleep with Naomi — a setup she denies, begging Vaughn to believe her just this once. Naomi raises the stakes: one of them sleeps with her tonight, or no one leaves. Terrified, Evie pleads for Vaughn to get her out. Instead he says two words — "She's yours" — and hands her over. Evie's goodbye is the coldest line of the night: her love for him ends here. Betrayed by the man she protected, she's left with nothing but the thugs closing in.

Episode 10

The news lands like a hammer: Evie jumped from the hotel last night. Vaughn refuses to believe it, insisting she's strong and everyone is hiding her. But the body at the morgue has already been identified. Vaughn is torn apart — he chose Naomi knowing those men meant to hurt Evie, and Naomi is fragile while Evie could survive anything. Then comes the twist that guts him: Naomi wasn't the one who healed his leg. A recording shows the truth he never saw coming. What did Evie sacrifice — and what will Vaughn do now that she's gone?

If you love a betrayal that cuts deep and a comeback you'll cheer for, this one's worth hitting play on tonight.
